Baccalieu Books

In 2013 I founded my own publishing company, Baccalieu Books, to publish The Ghosts of Baccalieu. This book was made with students from Tricon Elementary School in Bay de Verde, with funding from ArtsSmarts. In 2017 I published another book of ghost stories written by students, The Ghosts of Southwest Arm.

ArtsSmarts is sponsored by the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council and the Department of Education through the Cultural Connections Strategy.

Students contributed drawings and traditional ghost stories collected from their communities.

Baccalieu Books gets its name from Baccalieu Island at the tip of Conception Bay north. On a clear day, I can see Baccalieu Island from my living room window.

The logo for Baccalieu Books was designed by Goretta Costa, of Costa Leclerc Design.
